Disaster Recovery Program
Rebuilding Together Nashville understands the importance of repairing damaged homes after a natural disaster. We also understand that recovery does not happen in a day, week, or even month. Rebuilding Together Nashville has been working in long-term disaster recovery since the 2010 Nashville floods–standing by homeowners in need of repairs for the years long-term recovery takes. Oftentimes, disasters hardest hit those who are least able to afford it and lead to long time residents being pushed out of their neighborhoods. We believe that preserving affordable housing in disaster affected neighborhoods begins with repairing homes. Rebuilding Together Nashville is an active member of the Nashville Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD). This allows us to partner with a variety of community organizations that can provide holistic, wrap around services to homeowners needing repairs.
We are currently working in partnership with the Long-Term Recovery Group, leading construction efforts for Davidson County residents impacted by the December 2023 tornados.
If you or someone you know needs assistance, contact LTRG Case Management at (615) 270-9255 or visit TWKUMC Disaster Recovery. You may also contact Rebuilding Together Nashville to find out more information about the process and assistance with connecting to TWKUMC.
